RPPW is an international biennial event that brings researchers from a range of disciplines together to engage in discussions about the scientific study of rhythm. Rhythm is at the core of a wide range of human tasks, from speaking and dancing, to walking and synchronizing with others. The workshop will host oral presentations, posters, and more!
The topics of RPPW include (but are not limited to):
Rhythm and synchronisation
Synchrony and order perception
Multisensory temporal processing
Acquisition of time knowledge and temporal concepts
Timing and memory, attention, emotion and metacognition
Beat tracking and onset detection
Music structure analysis
Expressive timing, microrhythm and performance modelling
Ensemble or group performance
Entrainment
Rhythm in neurorehabilitation
We will be accepting abstracts for both oral presentations and posters.
Submission Guidelines
Submit your abstract by the 31st of Januaryat 23:59 (GMT+2) [deadline extended] via https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/76485/submitter Researchers are invited to submit abstracts of no more than 300 words. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and may consist of proposals for spoken presentations or posters. The first author is expected to present in person. The presenter must also indicate on the registration form:
Title
Authorship information (name, e-mail, institution and country)
Topic area
You will be able to indicate the preferred presentation format during the submission process. However, we cannot guarantee that all submissions will be accepted in their preferred format. Please anticipate that your paper may be allocated to either of the two formats.
All presentations and publications will be in English.
